For a little over a year now I've been traveling around the world talking about BUG at various conferences. I've been to California, Sweden, Switzerland, California, Texas, California, Turkey, Oregon, California, and Belgium. Oh, and California. A few days back I finished up my tour right here in NYC at CommunityOne. I'm going to be taking some time off from travels (but not from work) in order to have a baby. Well, my wife is having the baby. The session went fairly well although I talked too long and didn't have enough time for demos. I presented a few slides on OpenEmbedded and a few people in the audience were already familiar with the project. It's been a good year, I've learned a great deal about presenting, about conferences, and about the technical PR world in general. It was a good run!
In other news Marcin's mailing list post regarding support for a stable branch of OpenEmbedded for commercial vendors (such as Bug Labs) was well received. I look forward to this developing and would love to see some commitments from other commercial companies that depend on the OE community.
