Anyone who has written BUG apps with GUIs in AWT and said "hmmm, I wish there was a better way..." might be interested in this blog post from Shai. While LWUIT, a new graphics toolkit from Sun and Sprint, has been available for awhile for CLDC JVM it is still not available for PhoneME Advanced as an open source offering. A few days back at M3DD I was told that the remaining restrictions are legal and hope to be resolved Very Soon. In any case, Shai's entry points to a binary build of LWUIT for CDC that might be fun to play with on a BUG. I'd love to hear about anyone getting this working!

I recently to visit your blog, reading, I very much enjoy, and above the content is great.
I really can understand why the reason or what the reason is if people who have written BUG apps with GUI have said something like that. I say this because it is a mutual feeling between all of them. I am serious! I mean when we realize that there is no other God Damn way, we really get frustrated and distraught. However what I still don’t understand is why LWUIT is not yet available as an open source offering for Phone ME advanced!

This <a href="http://www.proficientwriters.com/freelance-writing">freelance writing</a> about new application is great things.
Well, I am waiting as well....thanks anyway!
All good questions, and the simple answer is, "We're working on it. We don't know...yet." We are still gaining experience with Bugzilla and how well it will play with our existing tracking systems. These questions will be addressed as latter parts of the system are added.
