I’m having trouble interacting with BUGview, even with a PDA stylus. It seems like it’s a little off. Is there a way to calibrate it, as is common on Pocket PCs and the like? |

Hey Dave, The BUGview module is now receiving the most development attention of our production modules. We're looking to nail down performance issues, including the one you've described. There are still tweaks to the driver, OS, and perhaps the JNI code that could significantly improve its responsiveness. Right now it seems that the defintion of click-events is what is impeding good performance. :( Brian Ballantine has developed a kind of etch-a-sketch application that highlights these performance issues. I'll ask him to push it up to BUGnet today, for use as a calibration checker for future fixes. I'll keep you posted. |

Hey Dave, Brian has posted the app to bugnet: http://buglabs.net/applications/bballantine/Draw+Pad Let me know when you've downloaded it because he wants to make the app private again. You can use this as a baseline to calibrate your LCD controls. Just a warning that the app exhibits strange behavior by default, because of the way the BUGview driver handles click-events. We're hoping to change this soon, but feel free to hack around. -John |
