Another Idea that I recentaly had was a module that was basically a network card to plug in a ethernet cable for geting on a network or for DSL internet. Preferably for a network though.

How about interface to TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter? In production, driver is Linux?

The bugbase has a built-in ethernet port. For an additional ethernet port, you can use a USB->ethernet dongle.
