Hi, If I remember well, I saw somewhere that the Bug can charge internal battery from the mini-USB port. When I work on my Bug with only the USB cable pluged, the red charging led is on. But on the LCD screen the battery icon is not set on charging mode and it effectively doesn’t charge. After the same time as without any cable pluged, the battery is empty and the Bug switch off. So, the question is : is it normal or should it charge with mini-USB on ? Thanks, Edrae. |

The BUG can charge via the the USBOTG, but the draw is much larger than that supplied. The result is that while the mini-usb is providing some current, it’s not enough to sustain a constant power drain. It is recommended that you use the AC adapter when using the device. |

Ok, that means I need to find a specific power adapter to charge it in a car. |

I’d suggest the general DC/AC car adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Portable-Inverter-Convert… |

Nice one, it seems. But a little expensive and I live in France so it should be more convenient to get a french plug. So, I found this one : http://www.amazon.fr/Connectland-Convertisseur-forme-canette-T150AF/dp/B00283XUR2/ref=pd_sim_sbs_ce_6 Its shape turns it very convenient in my car. And the can placeholder will, at last, be used (it is a fact, that in my car, I drive, I don’t drink !). And it has got a plug that accept US one (the bug) and french one (all my other stuff). |
