Hi,
Does anyone know of a source that sells the 2GB Samsung MMC Micro cards? Or any high-capacity (> 512 MB) cards? Also, how many full-sized USB ports does the bugbase have? The OTG connectors are nice, but are there any full-sized connectors?

You guys are great :) I apologize for asking in the first place – I was mistaken in thinking that the bugbase took micro mmc cards instead of regular ones :) That’s a big difference – I should have no problem migrating the sqlite databases I use to a 2GB card!

That one is MicroSD (the actual card, that is) The form factor is close, but they are not interchangeable, as the pinouts are different. :) These micro memory cards are all confusing. I’ve seen 512 MB cards on-line, but nothing larger. I’m broadening my search to international markets now. Samsung ANNOUNCED both 1 and 2 GB cards, but I cannot for the life of me find them for sale.

gah!!! the description said mmc, but you are right, the tech spec said sd (the bug QA team is most likely making quite a bit of fun of me by now). I’ve been deleting my old posts because I don’t want anyone else to accidentally purchase the wrong thing…

No problems – I really appreciate all your efforts! No, those are MMCMobile cards. It’s all confusing, because there are about a kajillion flavors of mmc cards :) The mmcmicro cards are the smallest of the small, and have REALLY low power consumption. I’ve found the 512MB ones scattered around (some pretty reasonably, as well):

I don’t completely understand why Bug can’t use SD cards or something newer then MMC (and less diverse). I get that it may be difficult to find non-proprietary parts for some things (thus the hiro-p edition & no onboard wifi) but isn’t the SD format an open format. no really tell me, I don’t know.

on another note though I had though I read a feed on a micro-sd to mmc converter. I am still searching my history for it but I think I saw one.
