So, I just saw a post on Make: magazine’s blog about the BugBase not shipping with 802.11. Does this affect the price? |

Hi there, The price is not affected – in fact, we’ll be including a free "von Hippel" module with every Hiro P, and we’ll also be making the wifi module available at production cost. We’ll also be extending the early adopter discount for those who prefer to wait for the wifi-enabled BUGbase. Hope this answers your question. Best, -m |

Since it was mentioned that the Early Adopter discount is being extended for 30 days, is that a quiet announcement that the wifi enabled ‘bases are going to be available for order within that timeframe? |

Wifi is definitely a must. It opens up the world of web enabled apps which is huge. |

JB, We're working on a wifi module that is nearing the pre-manufacturing phase of completion. While it's not integrated wifi, when we have a concrete date for release, you can be sure there will be fireworks and confetti. |
