OWINGS MILLS, Md. Shannon Sharpe Jersey . —Former Houston Texans wide receiver Jacoby Jones has agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens on a two-year contract. Jones was cut by the Texans last week. He caught 31 passes for 512 yards and two touchdowns last season, but he also fumbled twice in Houstons playoff loss to the Ravens. The 27-year-old Jones gives depth to Baltimores group of receivers. The Ravens have two established starters in Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith, but have no proven option at the third receiver spot. Jones has 127 catches for 1,741 yards and 11 touchdowns over five NFL seasons, all of them with the Texans. Jones also provides an option to cornerback Lardarius Webb as a punt returner. Jones has three career punt returns for touchdowns and averages 23.3 yards on kickoff returns. Terrell Davis Jersey . Eight losses in their last 10 games have dropped the Canadiens to 15th in the Eastern Conference and 28th in the league. Saturdays 3-1 setback against the Toronto Maple Leafs was yet another defeat to a team outside the playoff picture. Knowshon Moreno Jersey . Soriano hit a go-ahead homer in the eighth inning and the Chicago Cubs snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the slumping Cincinnati Reds on a rain-soaked Thursday night.Canada had a rough day in the final round of the team jumping competition Monday. Eric Lamaze and Jill Henselwood struggled mightily as they combined for 17 jumping faults as Canada finished fifth in the competition. Ian Millar posted eight jumping faults but it was not enough to land Canada on the podium. Lamaze and Henselwood were unhappy the jumping team was unable to medal but were still fuming about the Tiffany Foster disqualification from Sundays qualifying round. “The system just killed us,” Lamaze said Monday. “Its a terrible system that ended a girls Olympic dream. That is completely unfair. It wasnt designed for that.” Foster was disqualified after her horse Victor was ruled unfit to compete by the International Equestrian Federation. They determined he had an area of inflammation and sensitivity on his left forelimb just above his hoof. “That horse is absolutely fit to compete,” an angry Lamaze explained. “And its in the stable. And its really a shame. On such little evaluation.” In the jumping final, every team has the opportunity to knock off the worst result of the teams four riders as the top three are used to determine the final score. WWithout Foster, Canada lost that opportunity. Champ Bailey Jersey. “We need a four man squad to have a throw away,” Henselwood said. “Everyone has four except for one team. They needed me to jump zero.” “Its a huge disadvantage,” Lamaze explained. “Its like four-on-five in hockey. Its not easy.” Both Lamaze and Henselwood said Canada will appeal the decision. They believe the rules need to be changed and they were robbed of a legitimate chance to contend for a medal. “Canada should know that for sure were going to fight it,” Henselwood said. “Unfair is unfair. Im not supposed to say that. Shes an innocent on our team. Sometimes rules need to evolve or change or be clarified. Thats one of them. But Im not supposed to say a word.” “(Tiffany) Foster came here to have her first Olympic to help Canada get on the podium,” Lamaze said. “Its a big loss to our team. We will deal with this later.” There was still some good news for Canada as Millar and Lamaze advanced to the next round of the individual competition. The top 35 riders qualified for the first portion of the final round, which takes place on Wednesday. ’ ’ ’
