I am currently trying to get derby working and it requires jsr 169 – I got that compiled and loading but it seems to always load after the derby.jar thus breaking the dependency. Is there a way to make sure that my java.sql stuff loads first?

Mike, there are two ways you can go about this while maintaining the separate components:

1. Define start levels such that your dependency always starts first. Create a CTE project and have a look at the launch configuration dialog in Eclipse to get a sense of what I mean. Currently in the Virtual BUG we hide this functionality but in the real BUG it is straightforward.

2. Have the jsr169 bundle provide an activator that registers a service. Then derby can, via a ServiceTracker, launch when that service becomes available. This is the general happy path OSGi way of doing things and is more resilient to configuration changes. It does require modifying the stock jsr169 bundle however.

hope that helps

Isn’t it funny how we www.coachfactorystoreec.com/ Coach Factory Store always want what we can’t have? The girl with the round and pert backside wishes that her rear were 5 times smaller. Meanwhile, the girl with the non existent posterior wishes to achieve a larger butt. Well, if the grass is greener on the other side, just water yours! If you’ve got a small behind, you can create the illusion of a larger one with butt enhancing jeans. Here’s how to do it.
