Hello everyone,

I get an error from the IDE everytime I try to import a library using Import-Package in the MANIFEST.MF file , which should not be the case. I personally do not see anything wrong with the Manifest file. Here’s a copy of my code:

Manifest-Version: 1.0 Bundle-Name: Example Bundle-Activator: example.Activator Bundle-SymbolicName: Example Bundle-Version: 1.0.0 Bundle-Vendor: Diran Bug-Bundle-Type: Application BUG-API-Version: 1.4.4 Import-Package: com.buglabs.bug.module.lcd.pub, org.osgi.util.tracker, com.buglabs.util

Any help would be welcomed.

Eclipse will tell you the problem.  If you see the little red X next to the Import-Package declaration, click on it.  In this case, it will tell you that the line must be terminated with a line-break.

Here’s the error response from Eclipse:

’:’ is required after the header name

What should I interpret this as?

Here’s the code I made from the BugBabyMonitor Tutorial: Manifest-Version: 1.0 Bundle-Name: BugBabyMonitor Bundle-Activator: bugbabymonitor.Activator Bundle-SymbolicName: BugBabyMonitor Bundle-Version: 1.0.0 Bundle-Vendor: di003li Bug-Bundle-Type: Application Import-Package: com.buglabs.bug.module.camera.pub, com.buglabs.util, com.buglabs.services.ws, org.osgi.util.tracker

Oh and the error is the same:

” ’:’ is required after header name “

Clicking on it has no effect.

UPDATE:

This is really a silly Eclipse error, the last line of the manifest file cannot include any spacing in it. That is, Enter + Backspace = Problem solved.
