Jansrud finished in one minute 34.02 seconds. Svindal was 0.21 behind, with Beat Feuz of Switzerland in third, 0.26 behind the winner. Erik Guay of Mont-Tremblant, Que., finished ninth while Calgarys Jan Hudec was 19th. The pair had been hot of late with at least one podium finish between them at the previous four World Cup stops. “Its easy to get all bummed out about today or the last couple of days,” said Hudec. “At the same time, I got World Cup points at every single (speed) race Ive been in this year. Im happy about that and feel good physically. I want to have a result that will help me forget about these races here.” Jeffrey Frisch, of Mont-Tremblant, Que., was 28th, Ben Thomsen of Invermere, B.C., was 41st, Dustin Cook of Lac-Sainte-Marie, Que., was 52nd and Louis-Pierre Helie, of Berthierville, Que., was 54th. It was a first World Cup win for Jansrud, who was beaten by the smallest of margins two days in a row. He finished third in Fridays super-G race behind joint winners Feuz and Klaus Kroell. On Saturday, Kroell beat Jansrud into second place in the downhill. “Its a lot of emotions right now,” said Jansrud, who has nine career podium finishes. “What can I say? I think I skied as well as I can, I dont know how I could have skied any better. “For now, I just want tto enjoy this. Kenny Britt Womens Jersey. I have no idea when the last time two Norwegians were in the top. With his second-place finish, Svindal extended his lead in the super-G standings over Switzerlands Didier Cuche, who finished sixth. Svindal leads Cuche by 42 points with one race remaining at the World Cup finals in Schladming, Austria. “Its looking good, but it isnt over. I will have to make sure to ski well in the next (super-G) race,” Svindal said. In the overall World Cup standings, Feuz climbed to 1,250 points with the third-place finish, extending his lead over second-placed Marcel Hirscher to 115 points. The Austrian technical specialist did not take part in the super-G. Croatian Ivica Kostelic, also not racing here as he recovers from a knee injury, is third, 207 points behind Feuz. Svindal, fourth on 999 points, said he does not think he can challenge for the overall title. “Feuz and Hirscher are too far ahead already, I think,” he said. The Norwegian also took delight in his countrys triumph. “A double-win for Norway, its not every day that you see that,” said Svindal. “And usually its two Norwegians in the starting field.” ’ ’ ’
