ALBANY, N. Tom Brady Authentic Jersey .Y. —New York
Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas knows way more about knees than he probably
wants to. Speaking to the media for the first time since “aggravating” his
surgically repaired right anterior cruciate ligament, Thomas said Tuesday he
might need anywhere from three to eight weeks before he is ready to get back on
the field. With the season opener against Dallas just under a month away, Thomas
needs to prove he can play again after missing last season with his ACL injury,
then hurting it after three days of training camp. “Aggravated is the best way
to put it,” said Thomas. “An ACL is so simple. Its either working or its not.
And mine is still working. Something happened which caused it to swell. They
thought it might have been a bone bruise or who knows what it could have been. I
guess the basic definition is that I aggravated it.” Sure beats another tear.
The Giants leading tackler in 2009 and 10 and their projected starter this
season, Thomas was confident about his chances of playing again after getting
medical opinions from three orthopedic surgeons. The consensus was to rehab the
knee and go from there. “Like I said, theres no timeline on it. Its all based on
my knee, how it feels over time,” Thomas said Wednesday after returning to the
Giants training camp at the University at Albany. “We really havent set forth a
plan for how were going to attack it. But right now, Im just building up
everything around it.” Thomas hurt his knee when he slipped during practice on
July 29 and it swelled the following day. Initially, the fear was his season and
possibly his career might be over with a third ACL injury. The Giants medical
staff initially said he injured his ACL. However, Dr. Arthur Ting in California
examined Thomas and felt the ACL was intact. Dr. James Andrews in Florida
concurred. “The MRI came out negative, but, you know, it just felt a little bit
weird,” Thomas said. “We all agreed that Dr. Andrews would pretty much have the
last word and I went to see him and he didnt see a problem with it.” His flight
back to New York was one of the first times he relaxed after the injury. “Oh,
just relief,” Thomas said of his feelings. “It still hasnt hit me yet. Its still
frustration. I prepared for this day, but God has a plan for me and its all
about timing, and I have full belief in (trainer) Ronnie Barnes and his staff
that they going to take care of me and get me ready for my return.” Still it was
a scary time for the Giants ((No. 3 in the AP Pro32) and Thomas, who first tore
his ACL in college at Southern California, then did it again in a preseason game
last season. However, he insisted he remained positive and never gave up hope of
playing this season. He also was encouraged when the initial swelling subsided
and there wasnt much pain or loss of strength. “I dont plan on having any more
setbacks, the five-year veteran said. “I think this is just a minor scare more
than anything. You just got to give it time, let it heal, just use my time to
place my focus in other aspects, start preparing for my other opponents, start
game-planning against the NFC East. ... little stuff like that.” For now, Thomas
plans to rest his knee and wants to work on strengthening his legs, hamstring
and quad. He believes he could go out and practice, but that would not be the
smartest thing. “I think the big picture is the season, finding out Week 1, or
maybe Week 1,” Thomas said. “You never know how this things going to heal. But
as of right now, were just taking everything slow.” He said this type of injury
can take up to two months to heal, depending on how the rehabilitation goes The
Giants are deep at cornerback with Prince Amukamara, last years first-round
draft pick, Michael Coe and rookie Jayron Hosley fighting for the starting spot
opposite Corey Webster with Thomas sidelined. Danny Woodhead Jersey . —A strange year for
Tiger Woods took another bizarre twist Sunday when a fan was arrested for
running toward the seventh green at CordeValle and tossing a hot dog in Woods
direction. Tom Brady Youth Jersey . The Manchester
United striker was shown the red card in the 74th minute of Fridays Euro 2012
qualifier for kicking out at Montenegro defender Miodrag Dzudovic after losing
possession. Rooney will be suspended for at least one group game at next years
tournament and England coach Fabio Capello has given no guarantees the striker
will return to the team when his ban is over. http://www.nikenewenglandpatriotsjerseyssale.com/andre-tippett-jerseys
. This time, they were for the guys leaving the game. Lin had 19 points and 13
assists and Carmelo Anthony scored 22, but the New York Knicks turned around
this one with their reserves to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-103 on
Wednesday night. Nate Solder Jersey .C. —Defending champion
Brittany Lincicome has some high praise for the Canadian Womens Open. Wes Welker Jersey . The balls headed for a
cardboard box. The 19-year-old rookie became the youngest major leaguer to homer
since 1998 with a solo shot in the third inning of the Washington Nationals 8-5
victory over the San Diego Padres on Monday night. As teams continue preparing
for the 2012 CFL season in training camps, there is an anticipation – a feeling
- different than in any other year of Canadian football. Never before and never
again will there be a 100th Grey Cup. And because of that, many want to “be
there” come November 25, 2012. For players, coaches, management, and owners –
all involved in a football organization, they know it will be a memory of a
lifetime. The game will be an experience impossible to recreate because time
will never repeat the opportunity. For CFL fans, it is an opportunity to be a
part of a party, an event that – just like for the players – will never be
repeated. It will be an opportunity to say, “I was there.” And trust me when I
say this: between the CFL, TSN, and the host Toronto Argonauts, you will be
amazed at the number of unique events to see and participate in. Yes, I know a
little of how it is all going to be set up and run, and yes, I am sworn to
secrecy. I can only say that you will not be disappointed! For me, the 100th
Grey Cup is personal. The game was so far away for me as a player, it was only
in the distant horizon. So for me to know that I will “be there” and in a direct
way, generates a personal focus I can only compare to when I was a player. I
look at the 100th Grey Cup first and foremost as a game to decide the champion
of the CFL. Tom Brady Jersey. But I also look at the
100th Grey Cup as a celebration and appreciation of the league, its stories,
personalities, good times, bad times, and everything in between. Finally, I look
at the Grey Cup in association to the country I live in, Canada – not in a way
of excess emotion, but rather respect for the lifestyle and freedom I have. I
know that during the national anthem of the 100th Grey Cup, the dominate thought
I will have is how fortunate a man I am. I remember watching the Winter Games in
Vancouver two years ago. I experienced it through television and it generated a
pride that, to me, was clear and humble. My hope for the 100th Grey Cup is that
we will be able to duplicate that feeling to some degree. It was a good feeling.
So, as the season begins, enjoy the process. Go to the stadium and cheer for
your team, because if your team is in Toronto come November 25th, you will be
here, unable to resist. For many, time seems to move faster as you get older,
myself included. After much thought, I still have no idea why. If there is one
lesson Ive learned due to the speed of time, it is to take advantage, to be
aware, to enjoy moments. The 100th Grey Cup will be a week full of moments you
may never forget; a moment in time. Hope I see you there. ’ ’ ’
