Minnesota will get Jeremias Pineda, who was playing in Class-A. The deal was announced during the Twins-Red Sox game at Fenway Park on Sunday. Valencia, 27, hit just .198 with two homers and 17 RBIs in 34 games this season. He was assigned to Triple-A Pawtucket. The 21-year old Pineda was hitting .421 with 14 stolen bases in 36 games in the Gulf Coast League this season. Torrey Smith Black Jersey .Y. —The Buffalo Bills officially placed running back Fred Jackson on injured reserve Tuesday and promoted defensive tackle Jay Ross to the 53-man roster. Anti-Doping Agency on Monday, a decision that allows the agencys drug case against the seven-time Tour de France winner to move ahead. http://www.ravenssuperbowl47room.com/matt-birk-jerseys . That reality cast a shadow over Saturdays regular-season finale between the two traditional rivals at Bell Centre, especially with members of both passionate fanbases hoping for a loss to secure the best position possible in the draft lottery. Ramon Harewood Jersey . The 65-year-old Englishman signed a 2 1/2-year contract on Saturday, just a day after Mark Hughes was sacked for failing to deliver results despite an expensive overhaul of the squad. “The players have to be at it—the buck stops with them,” Redknapp said. Torrey Smith Elite Jersey . — Adrian Peterson has one speed: full.St. Louis Cardinals (75-67) at San Diego Padres (68-75) (Sports Network) – Kyle Lohse targets his 15th win on Wednesday when the struggling St. Louis Cardinals try to avoid being swept by the San Diego Padres in the finale of a three-game set at Petco Park. St. Louis still holds the second wild card spot in the National League, but it has lost five of six and is just 4-10 since Aug. 28. Luckily, for the Cardinals, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates are also struggling, but the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers have been red-hot and have both pulled within four games. On Tuesday, Alexi Amarista and Logan Forsythe each drove in a pair of runs to lead San Diego to a 6-4 win. Yonder Alonso and Cameron Maybin also tallied an RBI for the Padres, who have won six of their last seven. “Were playing good ball right now,” Forsythe said. “Big hits in big situations. Were having fun.” Edinson Volquez (10-10) earned the win after giving up three runs —two earned—on four hits and six walks over 5 1/3 innings. David Freese smacked a solo homer and Jon Jay and Skip Schumaker also tallied an RBI for the Cardinals, who are still a game ahead of the Dodgers and 2 1/2 in front of the Pirates. “The bottom line is we have to win, regardless of if the other teams in contention are losing or not,” Freese admitted. Adam Wainwright (13-13) gave up five runs—two earned—on five hits and struck out six over six frames. Lohse was denied his 15th win on Friday against Milwaukee, as he received a no-decision, allowing two runs and five hits in 6 1/3 innings of a 5-4 loss. Still, he has won his last eight decisions and is 14-2 on the year with a 2.81 ERA. Lohse has faced the Padres eight times and is 3-3 with a 5.24 ERA against them. San Diego, meanwhile, will counter with lefty Clayton Richard, who is 12-12 with a 3.78 ERA. Richard did not get a decision his last time out on Sept. 5 against the Dodgers, as he surrendered three runs and 10 hits in only 4 2/3 innings. Since June 12, though, he is 10-5 with a 3.27 ERA, and the Padres are 11-6 in those games. Richard is 2-0 in his four starts versus the Cardinals with a 3.13 ERA. St. Louis swept the Padres earlier in the season and has won six of the last nine meetings in the series, despite what has happened in this set. The Cards havent been swept by the Padres since August 1995, in San Diego. Atlanta Braves (81-62) at Milwaukee Brewers (71-71) (Sports Network) – Yovani Gallardo attempts to win his seventh straight decision and lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a three-game sweep of the Atlanta Braves at Miller Park. Milwaukee has won each of Gallardos last eight starts, but the right-hander has not received a decision in his last two trips to the hill. Against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday, Gallardo allowed two runs and six hits in six innings of a 5-4 win. He is 14-8 with a 3.76 ERA this season and hasnt lost since falling to Washington back on July 26. “I think that was a big game for him going forward, knowing that, Hey, I just need to make pitches and I can beat anybody,” Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said. Gallardo should be able to stay on track Wednesday, as he is 3-1 in six starts versus the Braves with a 1.91 ERA. Milwaukee continued its improbable push towards the postseason on Tuesday, as Marco Estrada pitched into the seventh inning in the Brewers 5-0 win. Estrada (3-6) gave up just four hits and a walk with six strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings for the Brewers, who have won four of their last five to move to .500 since they were 9-9 back on April 24. “He had such great command of all his pitches tonight,” Roenicke said of Estrada. “His changeup, especially, was really on and he can really confuse hitters when that pitch is working for him.” Rickie Weeks and Aramis Ramirez each hit a solo home run in the win for Milwaukee, which is now four games back of the second wild card in the NL. Philadelphia also is four games behind in the standings. Tim Hudson (14-6) gave up four runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings for the Braves, who have dropped their past two. Andrelton Simmons had two of the five hits. “Wee swung the bats hard but couldnt get off the wall or in front of the wall,” said Atlanta manager Fredi Gonzalez. Anthony Allen Jersey. “Were not feeling too good right now with the way were swinging the bats, but we have a chance to go 4-2 on this road trip and well take it.” Atlanta will rely on lefty Paul Maholm, who is 12-9 with a 3.67 ERA. Maholm defeated the New York Mets on Friday, as he scattered five hits in 5 1/3 frames. Maholm lost to the Brewers the last time he faced them and is a miserable 3-10 lifetime against them with a 4.87 ERA in 21 starts. Atlanta had won seven straight against the Brewers before losing the first two in this series. Los Angeles Dodgers (74-68) at Arizona Diamondbacks (70-72) (Sports Network) – Even the return of Matt Kemp failed to boost the Los Angeles Dodgers struggling offense. After getting shut out for a second straight game, the Dodgers try to avoid a third loss in a row on Wednesday evening in the finale of a brief two-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Los Angeles fell a game further off the pace for first place in the NL West with Tuesdays 1-0 defeat as Arizonas Ian Kennedy outdueled Clayton Kershaw. The setback left the Dodgers six games back of the San Francisco Giants in the division, though they remained a game behind the St. Louis Cardinals for the NLs second wild card. Kennedy hurled 7 1/3 scoreless innings, scattering four hits and six strikeouts while throwing 77 of his 110 pitches for strikes. “Tonight my fastball, and really what made my fastball better, was the execution of the offspeed pitches,” Kennedy said. “I was throwing them for strikes. When you do that it is going to be a good game, at least you give your team a chance. Youve got to against Kershaw, He is one of the best pitchers in the game.” Brad Ziegler recorded the last two outs of the eighth and David Hernandez struck out a pair of batters in the ninth as he logged his third save. Miguel Montero knocked in the lone run of the game in the seventh, though it was unearned off Kershaw. After Paul Goldschmidt reached on Hanley Ramirezs throwing error, Justin Upton flied out before Montero took an offering to right field for a double. “I blinked first tonight. I threw a pitch I shouldnt have. I didnt put it where I wanted to and Miguel made me pay for it,” Kershaw said. “He did a good job with it. You cant blink first in those games and I did, so thats just the way it goes.” As Arizona won for the fourth time in six games, Los Angeles lost for the fifth time in six contests. Luis Cruz had two of the Dodgers five hits and Kemp went 1-for-3 with a double and two strikeouts after sitting out the last two games with a shoulder ailment. Los Angeles, which was shut out by the Giants on Sunday, will try to get its offense going tonight against Arizonas Trevor Cahill, who took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of his most recent outing. The right-hander snapped a six-start winless streak (0-2) with a that outing as he beat the Giants on Wednesday. He ended up scattering two runs and a pair of hits over 6 1/3 frames, moving to 10-11 with a 3.98 earned run average through 28 starts this year. “Your adrenaline starts getting up and I was trying to maybe do too much at the end and just kind of got a little bit tired,” Cahill said. The 24-year-olds win came one start after he gave up three runs over 5 2/3 frames of a no-decision at the Dodgers. He is 3-0 with a 2.40 ERA in five lifetime meetings. Aaron Harang takes the hill for the Dodgers, who have lost each of the rightys last three outings. Harang is 0-1 in that span and did not get a decision for a second start in a row on Wednesday. Facing the San Diego Padres, who allowed three runs—two earned—on seven hits and three walks in five innings of work. The 24-year-old is 9-8 with a 3.75 ERA in 27 starts this season, including three against the Diamondbacks. He is 0-1 against them this year with a 9.42 ERA and Arizona is hitting .377 in those games with three homers in 14 1/3 innings. The Diamondbacks have won nine of their past 11 versus the Dodgers and have won five of eight against them at home this season. ’ ’ ’
