TSN announced on Thursday that the network has signed a three-year deal with
NBCUniversal Television Canada to air the BELMONT STAKES – the final leg of
horse racings prestigious Triple Crown. Kyle Rudolph Jersey . TSNs coverage begins
this year with Jockey Mario Gutierrez and Canadian thoroughbred Ill Have Another
looking to make history on Saturday by winning the elusive Triple Crown. TSN has
live coverage of the BELMONT STAKES on June 9 at 5 p.m. ET. “There is nothing
bigger in horse racing than winning the Triple Crown and we are thrilled to be
able to bring the BELMONT STAKES to Canadians for the next three years,” said
Shawn Redmond, Vice-President of Programming and Marketing, TSN. “Well be
joining all Canadians in cheering on Ill Have Another on what could be a
momentous occasion in Canadian sports history.”  Ill Have Another will attempt
to become the first horse in 34 years to capture horse racings elusive Triple
Crown after winning the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes earlier this
year. In addition to live coverage on TSN, the 144th running of the BELMONT
STAKES will also air live on TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto and TSN Radio 990 in
Montreal. Following the race, the BELMONT STAKES post-race show will air at 7
p.m. ET on TSN2. TSNs Katherine Dolan will be onsite at the Belmont in New York,
filing reports for SPORTSCENTRE and keeping race fans updated with highlights
and post-race reactions. Also known as the Run for the Carnations, the BELMONT
STAKES is the longest of the three Triple Crown races at a mile-and-a-half and
is considered the hardest to win.  The winner of the BELMONT STAKES takes home a
total cash purse of $1 million (USD). The Belmont Stakes joins a packed weekend
of major live event on TSN and CTV including UEFA EURO 2012, the CANADIAN GRAND
PRIX, FRENCH OPEN FINALS, NBA PLAYOFFS and NASCAR SPRINT CUP: POCONO 400. Blair Walsh Jersey . – After a listless first
period, the St. Fran Tarkenton Jersey . Kemp, who has been
sidelined since May 13 with a strained left hamstring, was the National Leagues
Player of the Month in April and is hitting . http://www.minnesotavikingsroom.com/jared-allen-jerseys
. He also now won a record 20 Masters titles, putting him one ahead of 16-time
Grand Slam champion Roger Federer. Nadal was hardly troubled by Djokovic this
time and broke the Serbs serve five times in a totally one-sided contest to
clinch his 42nd straight win in Monte Carlo, his first title since last years
French Open and 47th of his career. Paul Krause Jersey . Ross has been out since
fouling a ball off his foot Friday night against Philadelphia. An X-ray showed
no breaks, but an MRI on Monday revealed a small fracture. Matt Kalil Jersey . Devin Setoguchi and
Erik Christensen scored in a shootout to help the Wild beat the Chicago
Blackhawks 5-4 on Sunday night for their third straight victory. RIO DE JANEIRO,
Brazil—On paper, popular light-heavyweight Stephan (American Psycho) Bonnar
has little to no chance of beating middleweight champion Anderson (The Spider)
Silva in the main event of UFC 153. But the 35-year-old Bonnar believes the
stars may be aligning in his favour as he looks to pull off the monumental upset
over Silva, who is moving up a weight class to fight at 205 pounds. “Im a little
superstitious, and its on the 13th,” Bonnar told a news conference Thursday.
“There is a lot of stuff with the number 13 going on, and thats a sign for me,
for one. Ive got a kid coming, and that to me means I need to do something
spectacular. And three, I feel like Im in a Rocky movie. “Im this huge underdog
in his backyard.” The bookies have Silva, seen as the best pound-for-pound MMA
fighter on the planet, as a 10-1 to 12-1 favourite. Bonnar (17-7 including 8-6
in the UFC) and Silva (30-4, 15-0 in the UFC) meet in Saturdays main event at
Rio de Janeiros HSBC Arena. The two were booked for the card only after a
planned main event between featherweight champion Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar
was scrapped due to injury. The six-foot-four Bonnar was semi-retired before the
booking, as he was holding out for a fight with one of the sports biggest names
rather than simply looking to stay active in the UFCs 205-pound division. As it
turns out, he landed the biggest name in MMA, and despite the overwhelming odds
stacked against him, Bonnar said he realizes whats at stake. “This is a huge
opportunity,” Bonnar said. “Im not a guy that always has the best luck, but once
in a while a big opportunity comes along, and I try to take advantage of it.”
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old Silva fights in his native Brazil for the first time
since a July victory over archrival Chael Sonnen. That fight was expected to
take place at a Brazilian soccer stadium before logistical issues forced the
event to be moved to Las Vegas. Chris Kluwe Jersey. The six-foot-two Silva
said he now wants to put on a memorable show to make up for the missed summer
date. “I want to be able to pay back Brazil the fight that I owe them to have
here, so Im really very pleased to fight with a guy like him, and I hope we can
give you all a great show,” said Silva. “I hope this fight will always be
standing because it would be a great test for me because hes a guy whos never
been knocked out, and hes a great striker.” In the nights co-main event,
Brazilian legend Antonio Rodrigo (Minotauro) Nogueira (33-7-1) meets mercurial
heavyweight Dave Herman (21-4). Its Nogueiras first appearance since suffering a
broken arm in a December 2011 loss to Frank Mir. Nogueira was originally
scheduled to fight at Julys UFC 147 event, but he withdrew from a planned
appearance when his arm wasnt healing as quickly as expected. There was some
concern the 36-year-old former UFC champ might not ever return from the injury,
but “Big Nog” made it clear hes recovered 100 per cent and is honoured to fight
on the same card as his longtime training partner Silva. “Ill only retire when
he stops,” Nogueira said. “Thats going to take some time,” Silva replied.
Additionally, Brazilian sluggers Fabio Maldonado (18-5) and Glover Teixeira
(18-2) clash in a highly anticipated light-heavyweight matchup. Teixeira has
earned some notice as a possible challenger to UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones
title, but hell have to get past his hard-hitting countryman before he can even
consider the possibility. “Hes going to fight the best Fabio Maldonado that
exists,” Maldonado said. “Glover wont be fighting Jon Jones because Im going to
stop him before that.” ’ ’ ’
