SEATTLE —The Seattle Mariners restocked their bullpen by recalling
right-hander Stephen Pryor and selecting righty Carter Capps from Triple-A

moves on Tuesday before their game against Toronto. Seattle was down two
pitchers in the bullpen after trades Monday night that sent Steve Delabar to
Toronto and Brandon League to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Additionally, the
Mariners optioned outfielder Carlos Peguero to Tacoma and added Eric Thames to
the roster. Thames was acquired from Toronto for Delabar. Pryor was on a rehab
stint with Tacoma after suffering a groin strain with Seattle in June. Capps had
made just on appearance with Tacoma after spending most of the season at
Double-A Jackson. Capps struck out three of four batters he faced Monday night

Martins two-out single in the eighth inning overcame the Angels 5-2 edge. The
Yankees, with the best record in the majors, returned from the all-star break
and won for the fifth time in six games. “Its a new start,” Teixeira said. “The
first half really doesnt mean anything.” Trumbo homered in his fifth straight
game against the Yankees. His three-run shot in the seventh made him the first
Yankees opponent to homer five games in a row since Albert Belle in 1994, STATS
LLC said. Harold Baines in 1984-85 is the only other player to do that against
