(Sports Network) – Lefty Brett Cecil can get the Toronto Blue Jays back over . Torrey Smith Youth Jersey .500 tonight when they host the Kansas City Royals in the second portion of a four-game series at Rogers Centre. The hosts dropped back to 40-40 after Mondays series opener, when Mike Moustakas hit his first career grand slam and drove in a total of five runs, helping the Royals dominate the Blue Jays, 11-3. Salvador Perez added a two-run homer and two runs scored for the Royals, who snapped a three-game skid. Yuniesky Betancourt had two RBI and two runs scored. Everett Teaford (1-1) allowed three runs on five hits over seven innings to pick up his first win of the season. He struck out two and walked two. Colby Rasmus and Jose Bautista hit solo homers for the Blue Jays, who have lost five of seven and fallen 8 1/2 games off the pace of the front-running New York Yankees in the American League East Division. Ricky Romero (8-3), who came into the game with a 5-0 mark at home, gave up eight runs on 11 hits over six-plus frames. He struck out four and walked three. “I thought he attacked the zone much more aggressively tonight,” Blue Jays manager John Farrell said. “But when he got ahead in the count, the ability to put the hitter away and really limit any kind of multi-run inning, especially the second through the fourth, was a little bit elusive.” Cecil, who won 15 games in 28 starts in 2010, slumped to 4-11 in 20 starts last season before beginning this year with a prolonged stint in the minor leagues. He was 4-2 in 10 starts at Double-A New Hampshire and Triple-A Las Vegas, while allowing 55 hits and striking out 40 batters in 49 1/3 innings. He made his 2012 maj0r-league debut on June 17 and defeated Philadelphia, with five innings of two-run ball. In two starts since, against Miami and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, hes allowed 15 hits and nine runs in 11 1/3 innings. Cecil is 0-1 in two career meetings with the Royals. Kansas City replies with righty Vin Mazzaro, who makes his first start since allowing seven runs in just 1 1/3 innings of an 11-4 loss to St. Louis on June 22. The 25-year-old New Jersey native made one relief appearance since the blowout loss and pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings of two-hit ball in the Royals 7-2 loss at Minnesota on June 30. Hes dropped both career starts against Toronto while giving up 13 runs on 18 hits in 10 innings, permitting an opposing batting average of exactly .400. In 266 2/3 big-league innings, batters are hitting .297 against Mazzaro. The Blue Jays dropped the season series to the Royals in 2011, four games to three. Toronto last won the season series in 2008. Justin Tucker Jersey . It was a Saturday during the Memorial Day long weekend. But Lou Lamoriello was in the office. “I work weekends and hes almost always in,” said the security guard at the entrance of the Prudential Center. Haloti Ngata Jersey . The disgruntled and injured cornerback still hasnt practiced. After skipping voluntary workouts while rehabilitating from shoulder surgery, and after the Cowboys added two prominent cornerbacks this off-season, Jenkins was at Valley Ranch on Tuesday for the start of a mandatory veteran minicamp. http://www.baltimoreravensmall.com/torrey-smith-jerseys . Major League Soccer punished Robson for “aggravated dissent” on an assistant referee in stoppage time during Wednesdays 2-0 home loss to underdog FC Dallas. Torrey Smith Womens Jersey . Benneteau, a former French Open quarterfinalist, was scampering to retrieve a shot from the baseline at 5-5 in the first set on Thursday when he slipped and rolled his right ankle. He landed heavily on his right arm as he tried to break his fall, and retired from the match shortly afterward. Terrell Suggs Jersey .D. Martinez has made some small changes at the plate that have helped him find his swing and get Houstons offence rolling. 2011 was a season of change for the Alouettes, and not exactly in a good way. It was the first season in four that Montreal didnt win the East Division, and didnt advance to the Grey Cup. Marc Trestman enters the year in unfamiliar territory: for the first time in his CFL coaching career his team will enter the division race as chaser rather than defender. And just as last season brought change in Montreal, so too did the off-season. But as the Alouettes enter 2012, one thing they can take comfort in is the constant that GM Jim Popps football machine is proven to continually churn out productive players. That was evident two years ago when the Als let RB Avon Cobourne walk with Brandon Whitaker ready to step up and become an impactful player, and once again this year with the release of Anwar Stewart. Despite the off-season adjustments, the key ingredients for success are still around: mainly Popp, Trestman, and Calvillo. Calvillo answered any concerns that he might be slowing down with an all-star calibre season last year that saw him lead the league in passing yards (5,251) and tie for the league lead in touchdowns (32). There should be little worry that Calvillo, who will turn 40-years-old during the season, will be able to handle the transition at offensive coordinator from Milanovich to the 32-year-old Marcus Brady. Also easing the offensive transitioon is the all-star cast of pass catchers Calvillo will have at his disposal once again this season. Anquan Boldin Jersey. While the veteran Watkins retired, all four of the teams top pass catchers from a year ago return. Thats a combined 21 touchdowns, over 4,000 yards, and two East Division All-Star nods between Jamel Richardson, S.J. Green, Brian Bratton, and Brandon London. Richardson also got the nod as a CFL All-Star for his incredible 1,777-yard season. The unease heading into the season in Montreal could be over the teams defence. Therell be a fair amount of turnover, with as many as five starters lost or dropped from the roster in the off-season. The team did a good job of finding replacements however, and if the new recruits can mesh quickly, could improve on a unit that appeared vulnerable at stretches last season. Veterans like Chip Cox and John Bowman could play the Calvillo leadership role on defence to ease the transition and keep things running smoothly in Montreal. Bowman will however miss the start of the season with a knee injury sustained in training camp. For the first time in a long time the Alouettes enter the year not as division champions; but with a solid team core still headed up by the trio of Popp, Trestman, and Calvillo, theres no reason to think Montreal cant navigate through the changes with at least some level of success. ’ ’ ’
