NEW YORK —Mavericks guard Delonte West sounded contrite yet surprised by the
$25,000 fine levied against him by the NBA for jabbing his finger in the ear of
Utah swingman Gordon Haywood. Peyton Manning Elite Jersey . “I didnt think
it was going to be that steep,” West said Wednesday night before Dallas played
Houston. “Its a play that shouldnt be in the game. ... Its not a good example to
set for the youth that we are trying to teach to play the right way.” The NBA
issued the fine earlier in the day, calling it a “physical taunt.” West had been
called for fouling Hayward away from the ball then walked after him to give him
what he called a “wet willy” during the second quarter of Utahs 123-121
triple-overtime win over Dallas on Monday night. West received a technical but
was not tossed out of the game. Hayward walked away from the confrontation.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle didnt want to discuss the fine before Wednesdays
game. He said the team accepts it and is moving forward. The coach, however, did
have a conversation about the incident with West, who acknowledged that it wasnt
a smart play. “I get intense and I get fiery out there, he just wants me to
channel my energy the right way,” West said. “Got to be a smart player all areas
of the floor, not just offence and defence. Youve got to play the cerebral game
too, and knowing guys are trying to get underneath my skin and things like
that.” Steve Atwater Jersey . The leagues management
council and the players union determined that Seattle violated the collective
bargaining agreements off-season workout rules by having live contact during one
of the clubs organized team activities (OTAs). Shannon Sharpe Jersey . Bush left in the
second quarter of Miamis 23-20 overtime loss to the Jets and did not return,
though an MRI exam taken on Monday revealed no structural damage. According to
the Miami Herald, Bush is still experiencing swelling and stiffness in his left
knee, however, and is now questionable to participate in the Dolphins Week 4
matchup at Arizona this coming Sunday. http://www.shopthebroncos.com/von-miller-jersey

its second straight at home to bounce back from a 5-0 loss at San Jose a week
earlier. Colorado (7-13-1) lost its fifth straight and is winless in its last

Building Blocks – The Cardinals defence showed a lot of improvement as last
season went along. One way or the other the John Farrell situation is about to be
settled. Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, with the word the Blue Jays and Red
Sox are involved in ramped up compensation talks for the Blue Jays skippers
services. If it has gotten that far, Farrell must be willing participant in this
negotiation and must want to return to his old haunts in Beantown. The Jays have
clearly decided it time to move on and are just trying to get the most they can
for their manager. This is risky business for the Jays. If Farrell rights the
ship in Boston and becomes the manager they believe he can be, the Jays will be
ridiculed. More so if they dont get enough back in return. If Farrell flops,
then there are those who will wonder why the Blue Jays hired him in the first
place. I still believe Major League baseball should lay down stricter guidelines
to govern situations such as this. Over the past year since Boston first went
after Farrell—Terry Franconas former pitching coach—this has smelled like
blatant tampering. Situations like this should be dealt with only in the
off-season, in private and with MLB being totally involved. This could turn out
in the Blue Jays favour. But it will always smack of “the big powerful club,”
having its way with the “Little Guy”. Its almost impossible to assess John
Farrells tenure with the Jays. Injuries simply ruined his second season after he
went 81-81 in his first. I found him to be a commanding presence, an insightful,
honest man who appeared to have the respect of his troops. There were times
though if he was better cut out to be a general ma
