Hi there … Is there any progress on international shipment ? |
Hi enicky, We’re making some progress, but we don’t have an expected date just yet on when it might happen. Please hang in there and know that we’re working on it! Sorry for the inconvenience. Once we can ship internationally,we’ll be making announcements in these forums, on our blog, etc… we definitely won’t be quiet about it! :D Jenny |
mmmmmh what about shipping to a box ? a friend has a mail - box in the us. We can even get a ford mustang delivered there ... so ... is that an option for people like me :D ? |
enicky, We can ship to any US address, sure – but we also need a US billing address (belonging to a US credit card). Is that a possibility for you? Thanks! |
stupid question I think .... no progress ? ... still waiting (since 2007 ....) .... |
Hi enicky, Unfortunately no, not just yet. :( Just out of curiosity, what country do you live in? We will likely be able to ship to Canada relatively soon, and Western Europe next, although we don’t have any dates yet. Jenny |
Belgium ... but yeah .. .Canada is kinda far away :D |
and eeeehm … there is no way you make an exception for someone … :D who has already been waiting for so long … |
Hey enicky, we would absolutely love to for you and for so many people in our community! But it’s actually a legal matter; we legally can’t ship internationally until we have certain certifications under our belt. Believe me, we’re working on this and really hope to have it resolved soon. Please hang in there a little longer! :) Jenny |

Hi, I Just want to add myself to the people from Europe (Germany) waiting impatiently to get their hands on your stuff. Alex |
is there any progress ... ? or ... |
enicky, Yes – there is an update! Not sure if you know or not, but we’re going to be coming out with a new version of the BUGbase sometime this summer (hoping for June), which will be WiFi enabled. This new version will be CE certified so we will be able to sell it in Europe! When we’re a little more sure about the expected ship date for this new version of BUG, we’ll make an official announcement, so please look out for that. Thanks! |
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY :) no , you know , I almost gave up :), so that's good news!! I'm really looking forward for it!! I have a really cool idea that I want to try out -> hook a bug to a helicopter :) (btw... home made helicopter) and control it ... :) so I really hope you guys get it ready by June :) |
june is slowly coming nearer … :) |
is there already some more news about june ? or …? |
Currently, it looks like if all certifications, etc., happen on on schedule, we’re still on track for international shipping some time in June. From what I understand, it may be more like mid- to late June, so please don’t get too anxious for June 1st to show up on your calendar. :) Thanks for hanging in there. We’ll definitely be making an announcement when we are shipping internationally. Make sure to sign up at http://buglabs.net/subscribe if you want to receive these kinds of announcements. For more realtime announcements, you can follow us on twitter ( http://twitter.com/buglabs ). |

hello,
I’m from Belgium also, and I would be interested in buying the BUG… anything coming soon ? |
cduhayon, enicky – thanks for the support! We issued an announcement a few weeks ago at JavaOne 2009 about this very topic. The next rev of the BUGbase (v1.3) will be certified for use in most EU countries (Belgium is one of them!), and we’re currently on track to ship BUG 1.3 internationally by the end of this quarter. Once we begin shipping, we’ll announce via our blog, Twitter feed, and mailing list. And we’ve already got a few of these new BUGbases floating around our office, so they might be available in your country sooner than you think! Cheers, -m |

You guys can always try an international forwarding service. You can purchase anything from U.S. retailers and they will forward it on to you anywhere in the world. I was using Shipito while studying abroad. Fees are pretty low. Check them out. |
Hey Yen10 – We are all set to ship internationally so hopefully most of our international customers will be sorted (cduhayon – Belgium is covered). But I’ll definately look into Shipito – looks like a cool service. |

Wikipedia is talking about the CE mark and European Economic Area (EEA) which the EFTA countries is a part of. |
What we’ve been told is that CE certification allows us to sell in most of Western Europe, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. However, this doesn’t include Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland :-( There are some countries that require specific country testing (like Mexico, China, and Korea). The plan is, eventually, to start plugging away at the country specific requirements – we’ll keep you posted. |
