DIY Heart Rate Monitor

created on: 09/16/09

Cliff Eddens, of Cornell Medical Center, and Krystoff and Matt of Medtronic taught an incredible course on BIOelectricity in the Test Kitchen.  Above Peter Semmelhack, CEO at BUG, made his own heart rate motitor with a few chips on a breadboard and wired himself up.  Peter is becoming an old hat at making heart rate monitors - he's also made one with BUG. Thanks to Htink for organizing the event!

I recently to visit your blog, reading, I very much enjoy, and above the content is great.

Very good! It eill be cool in  writing service order some article about this Heart Rate Monitor.

Hi,

The DIY heart rate monitor was a llittle different than Peter's gadgetocracy projects. It was a three hour course where you made your own heart rate monitor. The class will be happening again Feb. 9th: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/522356382

However, this class doesn't have anything to do with sugar levels. Peter's device that you link to does however. I don't believe we have plans for clinical trials, but I'll let you know if that changes.

I am interested in your progress on this project. I first learned about it from this website: http://www.gadgetocracy.com/?p=52  titled: HH1 – High Heart Rate = Possible Low Blood Sugar?    I have a rare condition called Dysautonomia, which encompasses many medical variables. Two critical being my high heart rate and low or erratic blood sugar. Do you have plans for clinical trials?

Thank you
